The dentist becomes a photographer and digital “SmileDesigner” and you become a model. So don’t be surprised if we greet you with a camera and not a dental probe. Your new smile is then designed on the computer and compared to the current situation.

Digital Smile Design enables an almost exact simulation of the treatment result, so that you can get a precise idea of your new smile in advance.
This is much more than a simple tooth correction. Only by analysing the interplay of teeth and individual facial symmetry according to the principle of the “golden ratio” can we give you a natural, beautiful smile.

How does Digital Smile Design work?

Before the treatment begins, we consider, simulate and plan your new smile with the help of special innovative software and your photos. Perfect dental aesthetics are created when teeth, lips and gums harmonise with the face and overall proportions. It is therefore very important to us to look at and discuss the exact result with you in advance – before we change anything irreversibly.

Based on your photos, we can develop a smile that fits YOU perfectly. Nothing is left to chance. So you can actively participate in creating your new perfect smile. Thanks to precise planning, we can simulate all treatments in advance, recognise the limits of certain disciplines and treat as minimally invasively as possible. We present the result of this planning to you – even before the definitive treatment – using a temporary plastic model, which is created in our in-house dental laboratory.

Firstly, impressions are taken of the upper and lower jaw, on the basis of which a plaster model is created, which allows the teeth and gums to be altered as desired. To make the model look as realistic as possible, the teeth are modelled with white wax and the gums with pink wax.
You can “try on” this “trial model” on site before the definitive treatment.

Shape, colour and overall impression are analysed in detail and any necessary changes are made directly on the “wax-up” – with the aim of creating your dream smile.

This allows you to assess in advance exactly how the teeth will look in reality after treatment. Concerns about excessive changes to the face or uneven proportions are thus allayed.

This will make it easier for you to decide for or against treatment, and the anticipation of the results of the aesthetic treatment will already put a smile on your face.
