The solution – gum correction
Uneven gums, excess gums (so-called “gummy smile”), receding gums (non-inflammatory form – so-called recession and inflammatory form – so-called periodontitis) and exposed tooth necks can severely disrupt the harmony of the overall impression.
Over the past decades, periodontology has developed a number of successful solutions and treatment methods for such gum problems. In many cases, irregularities in the gum line or soft tissue defects can be corrected through precision microsurgery on the gums.
Gum corrections may be necessary for both medical and aesthetic reasons.
Too short teeth, too much gum – the “Gummy Smile”
This so-called “gummy smile” can be very reliably enhanced by minimally invasive, gentle gum plastic surgery.
The great advantage of this procedure is that it is a completely biological process in which the patient’s own teeth are not ground down in any way. Only the ratio of tooth size to gum shape is changed.
